Terrorism, counter terrorism, and the effects on juveniles

This document was written to bring to light the consequences of terrorism on young populations. Terrorist organizations are recruiting this vulnerable population globally. The consequences are catastrophic for these children, utilizing similar commercialization tactics used by major organizations to capture the interests of a particular demographic, glamorizing their cause and offering them a better life than what they currently have. Then these recruits find out too late they have been lied to, by then, they have no place to turn for help. The world we once knew is gone, combating new terror tactics with old methods is archaic, programs and laws need to be radically changed to keep up with the new environment in which they govern.
